Youngsters hoping to follow in the footsteps of golfing superstars such as Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood have enjoyed a taste of the sport with the expert PGA Professionals at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club.
Aldwickbury – part of BGL Golf, the UK’s leading golf course owner and operator –hosted a junior coaching session on the 9-hole short course.
Youngsters attending the camps benefitted from the expert tutelage of Aldwickbury Park’s PGA professionals, learning all the basics of the game including putting, chipping and even took part in a nearest-to-the-pin team competition, with the winners taking home a sleeve of golf balls.
Andrew Shewbridge, general manager at Aldwickbury, said: “Our popular junior coaching camps offer youngsters a chance to get to grips with the basics of the game and progress through to more advanced skills and techniques.”
Aldwickbury Park boasts an active junior section spearheaded by PGA Professional Robin Turley who offers a variety of coaching packages for golfers of all ages and ability throughout the year.
