ST Albans Masters swimmers impressed in the ASA National competition at Ponds Forge, Sheffield from last Friday to Sunday.
Austyn Shortman won gold in the 50m freestyle and Duncan Beveridge swam under the British record he set last year in the 50m breaststroke but had to settle for second place losing out by 0.05 seconds.
Craig Kirkland put in a strong performance to win silver in the 100m individual medley (IM) and bronze in the 200m IM. Beveridge, Shortman, Craig Muckleston and Kirkland combined to take bronze in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay.
Jo Lee-Pearce put in a strong performance to finish third in the 100m backstroke for women and then combined with Laura Coombes, Jenna Morris and Susannah Ford to claim a fantastic gold medal in the 4 x 50m medley relay.
