CHRISTIAN Garzarolli has stepped up from the reserve team manager position to take the hotseat at Harpenden Town following the departure of Paul Tomkins to Welwyn Garden City.

Garzarolli masterminded a good campaign for the Harpenden Town A side in 2007/08 and then went on to become reserve team boss. His good work there came to fruition on Saturday as Town reserves crunched London Colney 5-2 in the Molten Spartan South Midlands League Reserve Division One.

A meeting this week at Harpenden Town confirmed Garzarolli as the new first team manager and with other executive appointments to assist with player policy the club is now looking ahead to pushing up the league.

Town go away to bottom club Arlesey Athletic in Division One on Saturday and they then take on Cranfield United at home on Tuesday in the Division Cup.
