Hertford Karate Centre won two medals at its second Shoseikan annual Kata competition, held on Sunday.
Kata is the Japanese word describing detailed choreographed patterns of movement.
In the Team Kata – brown belt third Kya and above – HKC Team A of Price, Lily Setterfield & Smiah Lewis won bronze medals. And in the Individual Kata - brown belt third Kya and above - Luyanda Tshuma came second.
A member of the World Shoseikan Karatedo (WSK)/Japanese Karate Federation Goju- Kai, HKC teaches children and adults martial arts four days a week in Harpenden and St Albans. Shihan Smart (5th Dan WSK) runs the sessions, having taught martial arts since 1990.
