St Albans City put eight goals past Wingate and Finchley as their preparations for the season continue.
Warren McBean and a Sam Corcoran double gave City a 3-2 lead at the break. The team then showed the breadth of its attacking arsenal with five second-half goals.
Steve Wales started the onslaught, turning in John Kyriacou’s cross, leading the way for John Frendo and Lee Clarke to get on the scoresheet before adding his second. The rout was complete when Comley curled the ball inside the post from the edge of the box.
City are back in action tonight (Tuesday) when they visit Harrow Borough, kick-off at 7.45pm.
