St Albans City missed the chance to close the points gap on the top teams with a draw at Chippenham Town on Saturday.
On a weekend when league leaders Hemel Hempstead and Cambridge City lost and Stourbridge and Poole Town drew, City had a chance to move into the top six but there were denied three points by an 89th minute equaliser from Corey King, leaving them in seventh spot.
John Frendo’s 25th goal of the season looked like it would settle the result when he turned in Ben Martin’s knock down in the 77th minute but King’s first goal for Chippenham earned his side a point.
City will look to pick up three points tonight (Monday) when they entertain AFC Totten at Clarence Park, 7.45pm kick-off.
