Danny Fitzgerald scored an injury-time winner to give London Colney a 2-1 victory over Holmer Green in the SSML Premier Division.
It was the captain’s third goal in three games. He scored the winning goal against Tring Athletic seven days ago and the second in a 2-0 win over Leverstock Green on Tuesday.
Martin Collins gave the Blueboys the lead in the 72nd minute after linking up with Dan Power. Marcus Mealing cancelled out the lead two minutes before the end but Fitzgerald struck late to hand Colney all three points.
The Blueboys are on a tremendous run of form, going unbeaten in 13 games and winning their last six. With as many as six games in hand over the five teams ahead of them, and 12 games left, London Colney are mounting a serious charge towards the top of the table.
