CENTRE back Ryan Frater has agreed a deal to remain with St Albans City next season.
The towering defender formed a formidable combination with Ben Martin in the heart of the City back four in the final months of last season. Frater, aged 23, was snapped up by former boss Dave Anderson from Hitchin Town and made 22 league appearances for City.
Fellow defenders James Fisher, Scott Cousins, James Quilter and Ben Martin have also committed to remaining with The Saints next term.
Manager Steve Castle hailed club stalwarts Cousins, Ben Martin and Lee Clarke and Simon Martin who will remain with City. He said: "Lee Clarke, Scott Cousins and Ben Martin were an integral part of us being successful. Simon Martin also played his part. He contributed to a strong squad and did well when he came on."
Winger Matt Hann has been linked with a return to the club with doubts surrounding the future of current right winger Hassan Sulaiman.
