Former Saracens and Fiji stars becomes Harpenden director of rugby

Harpenden Rugby Club have pulled off a major coup with the appointment of former Fiji international and Saracens scrum-half Moses Rauluni as director of rugby.

Rauluni was capped over 50 times by Fiji and the Pacific Islands joined Saracens in 2004 initially as a player and now coaches in the Saracens Academy.

The 36-year-old is providing direction to the coaching team of Bobby Graham (ex-Northampton Saints) and Phil Cooper (ex ACT Brumbies) as well as working with the club’s junior section to identify up and coming players. Some of Harpenden’s notable former juniors include England and Saracens star Owen Farrell and the 2011 IRB Young Player of the Year George Ford who is currently with Leicester Tigers.

The club is looking for new players for its senior section, which currently runs four teams. Training is on Tuesday and Thursday (7:30pm) at Harpenden Rugby Football Club, Redbourn Lane, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, AL5 2BA. See for more details.
