Molten Spartan South Midlands Division Two

Markyate 0 Bucks Students Union 2

MARKYATE lost for second time in three matches as Bucks Students Union grabbed the win and moved to within one point of their hosts.

The first 45 minutes were very even with neither side dominating but Bucks came out after the break looking hungry for the victory.

The visitors broke the deadlock just after the hour mark when Mortis Pape fired home. The win was sealed in the 72nd minute when Murray Heywood added a second.

It was a lacklustre performance from Markyate and they will be expecting a much better showing when they travel to Caddington on Saturday.

The results sees Markyate remain seventh in the table but are 13 points behind league leaders Hadley.
