PARK Street boss Ryan Thompson was full of praise for his team after the game.

"The lads played really well and I was proud of them," Thompson told the Herts Advertiser.

"We reacted to the first ball but not the second one and they scrambled it home - it's the story of our season.

"Both sides played some really good stuff on the day and really we cancelled each other out."

PSV had pinpointed Frankie Jowle and David Parkinson as the Blueboys' dangermen and Thompson was delighted with the job his side did on the duo.

"Andy Ruck marked Frankie Jowle out of the game and Chris Day kept David Parkinson quiet," added the PSV chief.

"You couldn't fault the lads. They were disappointed when they came off but it wasn't with their performance it was because they felt they could have won the game.
