Third win a row shoots resurgent Colney Heath up league table

Colney Heath’s revival goes from strength to strength with a third successive win shooting them up the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.
It has been a good year in the cup for the Magpies but league form has been patchy at best.
Prior to exiting the FA Vase last month they had won just one of their opening six games, losing the others.
But they are now up to 16th and with at least three games in hand on the sides above them.
Tuesday night’s success at Biggleswade United saw them come from a goal down.
Manager Ryan Thompson handed two debuts and it was one of them, Reece Cameron who got the winner with two minutes to go.
He found space from Adam Lawton’s pass and buried the ball into the net, sparking celebrations on the Magpies bench and on the field.
It had been a fine second half performance against a United side that had won at the Recreation Ground a few weeks earlier.
Dave Parkinson had come off the bench to equalise midway through the second period, finishing with deadly intent with his left foot.
That victory followed Saturday’s 1-0 success at Cockfosters, Isa Rotimi getting the winner.
That had saw two more debutants in Thomas Carter and Jack Robertson as injuries and suspensions bite hard.
It was an attritional affair but the longer the game progressed, the more likely it looked that Colney would snatch a result.
And so it proved as a delightful cross from Jack Woods was attacked with intent by Rotimi, knocking it past the stranded keeper at the back post.
The Magpies will be looking for win number four when they go to Stotfold on Saturday.
