A late penalty from Kirsty Feasy salvaged a 1-1 draw for Colney Heath Ladies against Little Thurrock.

The visitors had taken the lead five minutes into the second half with a penalty of their own before Feasey’s late interjection.

Heath had gone into the game looking to continue their record of having never lost to the Essex side.

And it looked like that would be the case early on when Molly Slade went close with a free-kick.

It was however the away side that controlled the first half with Magpie chances being limited to Holly Sheridan and Sophie Joseph.

Yet despite Little Thurrock’s domination, it remained goalless at half-time.

They finally got the goal they deserved after the break which forced the hosts to up their game slightly.

But although they began to string together a few more passes, it still failed to change the game.

Another Sheridan chance forced the keeper into a low save and a header from Lucy Hancock went wide but it looked as though Thurrock would hang on.

However with minutes to go Kirsty Feasey was handed the chance to get Colney Heath back in it with another penalty and she made no mistake from the spot.
