Standen was one of two new signings for the Blueboys this week, with Chris McCarthy from Colney Heath also joining.

The ex-Sun Sports front man scored Colney’s third goal in Tuesday’s rout, following up Lee Armitt’s shot to poke the ball over the line.

Greg Shaw got the ball rolling in the 10th minute, latching onto Danny Fitzgerald’s cut back and smashing a rising shot into the roof of he net, and Armitt made it two when he held off two Dunstable defenders stroking the ball home.

Standen made it three before Elidon Bucaj scored from close range to wrap up a comfortable win for Ryan Thompson’s team.
