St Albans City Youth U10 Girls found the perfect way to end their season – by winning the Woburn & Wavendon Super Sixes Tournament.

The event which claims to be the biggest girls only tournament in the UK saw City battle through five group games, winning four and drawing one, before victory over Bedwell Red Devils after a tense penalty shoot-out took them through to the final.

Bedford A were waiting for them but they could cope with the City girls who wrapped up a 4-0 win to take the trophy which was lifted by Bailey Killner, Emily Edgecombe and Sophie Lerwill.

Scarlett Robb got all four goals in the final but the whole squad played their part throughout like goalkeeper Rebecca Smith who made the vital save in the semi-final.

U10 Girls: Bailey Killner, Emily Edgecombe, Sophie Lerwill, Emma Bracey, Olive Jones, Rebecca Smith, Esme Dickson, Teagan Scarlett, Scarlett Robb, Gabby Bradley, Vanessa Cipolla and Alessia Cipolla.
