ANDY Murphy scored twice to continue his sparkling form as Park Street Village recorded a 4-1 win at Bushey Rangers on Saturday.
Boss Ryan Thompson was impressed with the way his young side went about the fixture from the kick off and hailed the impact of dazzling winger Bruce Hutchison. He said: "Bruce was smashed all over the park, they couldn't control him. He is getting better and better. Teams don't know how to defend against Bruce. He is very fast and very strong and is a threat every time he picks the ball up. Hopefully we can hold on to him.
"We haven't played for a long time and our young lads are full of running. It was a case of how many goals we would get on Saturday."
PSV missed some chances early on but took the lead when Ant Burns crashed a volley into the roof of the net before half time.
Early in the second half the home side drew level with a penalty after a foul in the box. PSV battled on and Murphy showed his prowess in front of goal when he rounded the goalkeeper and stayed on his feet to slot the ball home from a tight angle.
Defender Matty Day then scored a spectacular third with an overhead kick and his brother Chris almost repeated the trick, hitting the crossbar with an acrobatic effort soon after.
PSV added the gloss to the win with five minutes to go when Murphy tucked away his second goal, finding the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Youngsters Chris Lord, Ian Hurst and Dean Thompson all played their part and PSV will continue their pursuit of a top-three spot in the league when they go away to Whitewebbs on Saturday. Kick off is 2.30pm.
