Mardel-Clarke nets after Honeywood saves penalty

IN the First Round of the League Cup, the Under 18s South played London Maccabi Lions and a late goal from Spencer Mardel-Clarke secured victory. Goalkeeper Harry Honeywood saved a penalty kick and had an excellent match with Ryan Hearne and David Shore also playing well.

Yasin Boodhoo scored a hat trick as the Under 18s East powered into the next round of the League Cup with a 9-3 win at home to Minchenden. Marcus Madden, Donald Bogle and Salvatore Vetere all scored twice.

Man of the Match James Rosson struck two goals from midfield as the Under 18s West beat Hemel Aces 4-2. Jamie Wallis also netted and an own goal completed the tally.

The Under 16s East won 2-1 in the League Cup after extra time against Muswell Hill Rangers. Zahin Choudhury scored the vital winning goal and Steven Orchard also netted on his debut. Dan Westmore was named Man of the Match.

Ashley Bryant scored the Under 16s South but they lost out 2-1 in the First Round of the League Cup.

Tom Weaver netted a late consolation goal as the Under 16s South went down 8-1 away to Hadley Rangers.

Five fine goals from Harvey Scott helped blast the Under 15s East to a stunning 13-2 victory in the Red Division against Kodak. Richard D'Rosario showed some snappy finishing to net four and Ashley Talbot added to the bright overall picture with two goals. Frazer Harper and George Hunter each scored to complete a flashing victory. The East then beat Hadley Wood away 2-0 with D'Rosario and Talbot each on target again. Midfielder Michael Lee was in superb form.

Goals from Dominic Oliver and Josh Meija-Searle secured a 2-0 win for the Under 15s West against Finchley Revolution. Goalkeeper Matt Rodford had a brilliant game for the West.

Tom Fazakerley scored two and Cormac O'Regan netted one as the Under 14s West drew away to Edmonton Rangers in the league. Sam Groves at full back and Kobayne Wilson in midfield played superbly.

Noah Grisenthwaite grabbed a hat trick as the Under 13s South beat Tring Tornadoes Tigers 10-1. Niall Watts scored twice and there were singles from Morgan Williams, Nathan Greaves, Jamie Moroney, Jack Pugh and Gus Mallett.

Kieran Gastaldi-Davies was named Man of the Match but could not save the Under 13s East from a 4-2 loss away at Bushey. Callum Maginnis and Joe Deacy scored goals.

Dan O'Donovan scored a consolation goal for the Under 13s North but they lost out 5-1 to AC Finchley. Craig McConnell was named Man of the Match.

Goals from Anthony Gosling (two), Callum Glennister, Kieran Thorne, Jamie Ashton, Joshua Harpin and Alex Port handed the Under 12s East a 7-0 win against Harpenden Colts Athletic. Man of the Match went to Johannes Dockenhauer who had a fine game in the back four.

The Under 12s South beat Everett Rovers 3-0 with goals from Alex Gilbert, Sofian Alokalt and Aiden Gastaldi-Davies who was making his debut. Gus Scott at right back was named Man of the Match.

Conor Yapp scored twice and Sian Brune-Franklin netted one as the Under 12s North lost out 9-3 to Whetstone Wanderers. Jack Collard was named Man of the Match and Clark Hodson also had a fine game.

Toby Parker led the way with a hat trick as the Under 11s North beat the Under 11s West 7-1. Hugo Harding, Max Bull, Sam Reynolds and Josh Bean also scored. Stuart Peet slammed a fine shot into the roof of the net to score for the West. Lawrence Clark was named Man of the Match for the West.

Matthew Drane, Tom Matthieson and Sian Khan-Boylan scored a goal each as the Under 11s Boreal beat Hemel Echoes 3-2. Left back Alex Cook was named Man of the Match.

Christian Edwards scored for the Under 11s South but they lost 4-1 at home to Garston. Midfielder Nathan Dimmock was named Man of the Match for an outstanding show.

New outfit, the Under 10s Orient won 6-0 against Tring Tornados with goals from Bradley Littler (three), Barney Hodge, Alex Beard and Man of the Match Finlay Moore.

Jake Anthony scored twice and Bryn Williams netted one as the Under 10s East recorded a 3-3 draw with Kings Langley Ladies. Man of the Match went to Ryan Lubbock who set up both goals. Goalkeeper John D'Angelo had a fine game.

The Under 10s South won 4-1 away to Tring Tornados. Luke Winks scored twice and captain Nick Grossi also netted. Man of the Match Ryan Ladyman had a fine game in midfield and scored the other goal.

Charlie Lunniss fired in an excellent hat trick as the Under 10s North beat Rickmansworth Rhinos 5-1. Amir Stapleton and Will Mattin also scored. Lunniss and Mattin shared the Man of the Match award.

In the West Herts League, the Under 10s West won 1-0 with a goal from Robbie PennThomas against Watford Youth Sports. The whole team impressed.

Player of the Match Lucy 'Slider' Hancock scored twice as the Under 16s Girls beat Hayes Gate 6-1. Abigail Cameron also scored twice and Charlie Lebetkin and Judith Sherman netted one goal each. Megan Kiff hit the post with a good shot.

The Under 15s girls hit back from 2-0 down to win 4-3 away to Parkfield Girls. Abigail Kemball-Cooke scored twice and Holly Clarke and Christina Freestone also netted. Faith Trounce was named Player of the Match.

Goalkeeper Lorna Gear and defenders Erin Foster and Chiara Verdigi were in impressive form as the Under 12s Girls drew 0-0 with St Martins from Luton.
