ST Albans City manager Steve Castle is hopeful of signing defender Tobi Jinadu who made an impressive debut as a second-half substitute against Watford on Tuesday.
Powerful centre back Jinadu, aged 24, looked colossal in the air and composed on the ground as he made a big impression. Castle said: "He is good in the air and is nice and strong. I am hoping we can sort something out."
Jinadu featured for Heybridge Swifts last season before a knee injury kept him out of the latter stages of the campaign. The big defender was upbeat about his chances of signing with Saints after talks with the manager following the final whistle on Tuesday.
City will be without centre back Ryan Frater for the Blue Square South kick off. The big defender has yet to have the cast removed after suffering a hairline fracture of his leg against a Spurs XI earlier this summer. Castle has since been looking to add another defender to his squad and Jinadu could fit the bill.
