Herts Ad Sunday League: Second successive county cup for Skew Bridge

Skew Bridge sealed their second successive county title when they beat Nicholas Breakspear 3-1 in the Herts Sunday Cup.

Cain Davey gave NBOB a deserved lead, but it only served to wake up Skew Bridge, who levelled through Lee Close after half-time.

Harry Hunt fired Skew Bridge in front and, as NBOB pushed forward in search of an equaliser, Danny Green netted their third.

GD GOLDINGS CHALLENGE CUP: Daryl Loring’s double handed Cannon a 3-1 victory over Pennine Spartans, who had Adam Durrant on target. Michael Shaw scored Cannon’s other goal.

Christy Torrens and Jamie Randall found the net in St Albans Rangers’ 6-2 loss to Phoenix.

Adam Parker scored for Queens Head in their 1-1 draw with Nicholas Breakspear OB Reserves.

DIVISION ONE: Brookmans Park were twice pegged back in their 2-2 draw with Precision. Tom Whilser and Callum Baylis scored Park’s goals.

DIVISION TWO: Blacksmiths Arms moved to the top of the division after their 5-1 win against Phoenix. The goals came from Jamie Sharp (two), Luke Lovell, Ian Fryer and Tim Attwood. Jack Skinner replied for Phoenix.

DIVISION FOUR: Greg Moloney scored either side of half-time in St Albans Royals’ 3-1 win over Marshalswick Rovers. Scott Lye scored Royals’ second goal and Dave Hudson netted for Rovers.

Snug Bar beat Brookmans Park A 4-2, with goals from Liam McGarry (two), Connor Reddy and Tommy Twelves. Oli Thomas and James Jankawski replied.

Queens Head Reserves came away from Nicholas Breakspear OB 90 with a 4-1 win thanks to a Gary Hatchett hat-trick and a single from Laurie Blow.

Goals from Ben White and Charlie Lumsdon, plus an inspired performance from goalkeeper Danny Othman, saw Camp KBK beat Herts Mauritian 2-1.

DIVISION FIVE: Goals from Andrew Sirra and Freddie Warner wasn’t enough to save Harpenden Colts Reserves going down 3-2 against The Ridge.

Bradmore Rovers won 5-1 against George Redbourn, who had Ben Hutton on the scoresheet.
