Herts Ad Sunday League: Owen’s hat-trick sends New Jacks through

James Mark Owen grabbed his first hat-trick of the season for New Jacks as they defeated Rickmansworth Town Sunday 5-2 in the Herts FA Sunday Cup.
Mickey Shuttleworth and Wael Benatim got the other goals.
Queens Head are also through to the next round following a 3-1 win against Finchley Utd. Goals came from Khalid Ismail, George Elliott and Phil Turner.
Nicholas Breakspear OB put on a sparkling display to defeat The Grove 9-2.
Fran Silver scored a hat-trick, Adam Wallace two and singles came from Cain Davey, Greg Shaw, Rob Browell and David Parkinson.
Goals from Brandon Whitman, Abel Vieira and Lee Goldsmith couldn’t save Harpenden Colts going down 4-3 to Oakwood Town in the Herts FA Intermediate Cup.
After holding North Watford to a goal apiece after normal time, Facelad went down 4-1 in extra time.
Jerry Clynes scored their goal with Jake Lawrence outstanding.
In the Herts Advertiser Knockout Cup Phoenix Res came from a goal down to beat Six Bells 5-3.
Two goals from Tom Simmonds and singles by James Dobinson and George Naismith gave Harpenden Rovers Blue a 4-0 win against CHL in the Herts Advertiser Junior Cup.
Marshalswick Rovers beat Pinewood 1-0 in a shock result. An early goal from Ali Bart edged a very competitive game.
And the 33-year age difference between Rovers’ two centre halves, Gary Hitchen and Roscoe Boyes, must be a league record.
A great team performance gave Athletico Quat a 3-0 victory over Royston Rangers. Man of the match Johnny Cavaree got all three of Quat’s goals.
In the Herts Advertiser Intermediate Cup Stonewood Res put on a good show to come from Oaks with a 3-1 victory.
The goals came from Adam Wilmot, Ashley Howard and Dan Hedges. Paul Gillard scored for Oaks.
Despite being a man down for most of the game, Snug battled to a 2-1 win over New Greens with one of their goals coming from Lewis Songaila.
In the Herts Advertiser Sunday League Division One, two Aidan Golds goals weren’t enough to give Blacksmiths Arms their first win.
They lost 3-2 to Brookmans Park who picked up their third win of the season. Callum Baylis (two) and Mitchell Dennis got their goals while Dean Skipsey was Arms’ star player.
Following their 4-2 defeat to Garston Panthers, St Albans Rangers are desperately in need of more players.

In Division Two a last minute winner from NBOB Res saw TNF very unfortunate to come away empty handed from a 3-2 defeat.
In a game which could have swung either way, goals from Steve Orchard and Jonny Tanton put TNF 1-0 and 2-1 up respectively. However, it wasn’t quite enough.
Harry Kentish was TNF’s star player while goalkeeper Michael Fontanoz was Breakspear’s man of the match. Their goals came from Danny Saunders, Adriano Gil and Daryl Hall.
Wheathampstead 89 recorded their second win of the year, defeating Brookmans Park Res 2-1 with goals from Duncan Gray and Ross Evans. Jamie Skelding was once again their star player. Danny Clifton netted for Park.
Neither BWSC nor Chequers Inn were able to find the back of the net, resulting in a 0-0 draw.
A star showing and a goal from Alfie Jackson was all Blackboy could show from a 6-1 defeat against St Albans Irish in Division Three.
Ben Conrad scored his second hat-trick of the season for the Irish along with two from Lee Greenwood and one from Louis Lindsay.
In a Division Four game Harpenden Colts Res needed to win given recent results, they produced a composed performance to run out worthy 8-2 winners against The Mill.
It was a good individual and team performance with captain Chris Newcombe in excellent form, bagging a brace.
But it was Alex Dennehy who stole the show, scoring his first hat trick for the club.
Other goals came from Darren Singleton, Tony Perreira and Ben Pegram.
Matt Eden was on the mark with three goals for White Horse in a 4-0 success against Brookmans Park A.
AFC Mymms were the top scorers of the day, defeating Royston Rangers Res 10-0.
Ashley Fongo got four goals, Dan Boucher three and Sedin Mustafic two. Alex White got the other.
