Herts Ad Sunday League: Facelad impress again with double over Beehive

Facelad continued their impressive recent form as they picked up a 4-1 win over Beehive in Herts Advertiser Sunday League Division One.
It was the second win for them over the Beehive and came courtesy of two goals from Oliver Stevens and one each for Michael Alderman.
The win lifts them into fourth but they are a long way behind leaders Blacksmiths who just need one point to clinch the title after a 3-1 win over second-place Tansley. Aidan Golds and Jamie Hazell were both on the scoresheet.
They could also lift the double with their Herts Intermediate Cup final against Everett Rovers next up.
Plough & Harrow are another team in fine form and they extended their unbeaten run to six with goals came from Billy Small, Josh Small and George Naismith giving them a 3-0 win over Pinewood.
In Division Two Robert Brown took his goals haul to 19 in BWSC’s 1-1 draw with Phoenix Res. Luke Starnes was their star player.
Despite strikes from Jack Budge and Charlie Cassen, FC Potters Bar suffered their fourth league defeat with a 3-2 loss against New Greens.
Pioneer Selection remain top of Division three after recovering from last week’s shock defeat to beat Hatfield Seniors for the second time, this time 2-0.
The goals came from star man Cameron Territ and Jamie Sharp.
Wheathampstead ‘89 remain in pursuit of them after a 5-2 victory against Broookmans Park. Alex Norwood, Liam Picton, Arron Goldsmith, Lee Bennett and Ryan Clark were their scorers while Adam Davies and Henry Chapman replied for Park.
Hanburys remain third with a fine all-round team performance bringing them a 6-0 win against Blacksmiths Reserves. Anthony Brown and James Watts both scored two with Mickey Sinnott and James Hart chippping in with the others.
Marshalswick Rovers and Hatfield Mosquito were involved in a sensational 5-5 draw. Michael Ingram, Alastair Bart, Stephen Ballard, Nathan Young and Daniel Smith. were the Rovers’ scorers.
Skew Bridge Rothamsted are through to the final of the Herts Ad Knockout Cup following a 3-1 win over Oaks. Skew’s scorers were George Thurstance, who got twom and Chris Brothwood. Oaks had equalised from a corner but although it was another solid performance, they just fell short.
AFC London Road’s passage to the Herts Ad Intermediate Cup final was a little more straight forward as they beat Welwyn Warriors 5-1. Spencer Clarke-Mardel was the star, bagging four, with Alex English also on target. Osward Kakande replied for Warriors whose star man was Ben Winch.
