Heath get back to winning ways

COLNEY Heath recorded their first league win in seven outings as they saw off Harefield United at the Recreation Ground.
Kevin Ashwood got the home side off to the best possible start with a goal after just 37 seconds and Paul Armstrong doubled Heath’s advantage on nine minutes.
Denver Morris pulled a goal back for Harefield on 25 minutes but Armstrong restored the Magpies’ two-goal lead with his second of the contest four minutes later.
Sam Gomez’s 85th minute goal ensured a nervy final few minutes for Heath but they held on for a much needed three points.
In Division One St Albans City Reserves recorded back-to-back victories for the first time this season with a 3-1 win against Amersham Town.
Ryan Baronet opened the scoring for City on 19 minutes and although Town drew level through Dom Tarella before half-time, second half strikes from Richard Maton and Dom Peturcci gave City all three points.
Harpenden Town slipped to a 3-1 reverse at home to Sun Postal Sports who took a ninth minute lead through Ben Poulton.
Jamie Arthur extended Sun Postal’s lead just after the interval before Matt Sutton netted for Harpenden. Poulton grabbed his second goal 17 minutes from time to seal the visitors’ victory.
London Colney took local bragging rights from their derby encounter with Welwyn Garden City thanks to a 3-0 win.
Dave Parkinson put the Blueboys on their way in the first half before late goals from Danny Fitzgerald and Sam Mitchell, from the penalty spot, gave Dave Townsend’s troops a comfortable win.
