Colney Heath boss content despite plenty of excitement not bringing a league win

Colney Heath were involved in two highly-exciting games this week leaving manager Micky Nathan to joke “we don’t like quiet games”.
They lost 3-2 at Oxhey Jets on Saturday and followed that up with a 2-2 draw at home to Sun Sports on Tuesday.
Both games saw the Magpies take the lead through Trey Charles before their opponents scored twice to lead 2-1.
Reynaldo Carbon equalised against Jets while it was Danielson Vicente who brought parity against Sports.
The only difference between the two was a third Oxhey goal on Saturday.
The results leaves them in 18th place in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.
And while Heath are still waiting for their first league win of the year, Nathan is happy with what he is seeing.
He said: “We are creating lots of chances but we cannot seem to put the ball into the back of the net enough.
“[Sun Sports] management team said they got out of jail and we were ‘some team’.
“That’s nice to hear but it’s not when you’re not winning games.
“There’s lots of frustrations when you keep hitting the post and crossbar but we’ve got to keep the players confidence up.
“There’s still things to work on but I haven’t seen a game yet where teams have passed it round us.
“What we are doing in training sessions is phenomenal and players are taking it on board.
“And again we’ve shown character to come from behind.
“It is going to take time. We’ve only got five players or so that stayed from last season.”
They will hope to get their maiden win of the season tomorrow (Saturday) in a re-arranged fixture against Nathan’s old team, FC Broxbourne Borough.
He added: “It’s going to be a tricky one as they’re a fairly new side. They had the problems during the summer and I don’t know anything about them.
“But we have got to take one game at a time and worry about us.”
