THREE early goals saw St Albans City Ladies go down 3-0 to St Albans City Youth last weekend.

Lucy Tape saw one effort rebound off a post and Ria Llewellyn saw her shot blocked on the line. In the first half Claire Brown made a fine save and Tape, who took over in goal in the second half, saved a penalty.

By the end of the game the ladies were reduced to eight players because of injuries. One player who deserves a mention is Claire Boyd who had an excellent game before she went off with an ankle injury.
