STEVE Castle is hopeful he will have both Ryan Frater and Adam Everitt back from injury ahead of the trip to Bognor Regis Town tomorrow.
However, Castle has warned the returning players that it will be tough for them to force their way back into his starting line-up after a good team performance on Tuesday against Basingstoke.
"If I was in the team I'd certainly have the right hump if I was dropped after winning 3-0," Castle told The Herts Advertiser.
"We've got Ryan Frater coming back and Adam Everitt coming back in, but I don't think there's anyone there that's played tonight that wouldn't justify my thoughts for selection."
Frater has been sidelined for the third time in recent weeks by a hamstring injury and Castle says he is keen for the injury to heal properly to avoid further setbacks.
"Ryan's a little bit fool to himself and I hope he doesn't mind me saying that," said Castle.
"He quite blatantly says he's alright and sometimes the physios are undecided. With experienced players, if they are saying it's fine and they're not feeling it, then you have to go with it.
"No disrespect, and I have said this to him, it made us a bit disjointed on Saturday [at Hayes & Yeading] and I didn't want that to happen again. He'll have to be 100 per cent for me to play him."
Adam Everitt was due to see a specialist on Wednesday to get to the bottom of the back injury he sustained in the 1-1 draw with Bishop's Stortford.
The versatile player injured his back in a clash in the second half at Woodside Park and has missed City's games with Hayes & Yeading and Basingstoke as a result.
