Kentish Town 2 Colney Heath 4

A ROUSING half time team talk from boss Wesley Awad inspired Colney Heath to a dramatic win at Kentish Town on Saturday.

The Magpies played some bright football in the first half but were caught twice as the home side profited from slack defending.

With Lacey away, Awad was in sole charge and brought on Dean Parratt for the second half. The Magpies came out fired up and were soon back on level terms before taking control of the fixture. Teenage striker Aaron Clarke scored twice and further goals from defender Mark Teesdale and forward Richard Howard sealed a superb 4-2 win. Lacey said: "We came out and smashed them. All credit to Wesley for a fantastic half-time team talk to get the boys rallied. Kentish Town have been doing well and to score four goals in the second half can't have been easy over there."

Clarke netted when he made space superbly in the area and side-footed the ball home after a nice run and cross from Dean Parratt. Midfielder Jamie Eames set up the equaliser with a good ball in from the left and Clarke used his pace to get across his marker before burying his shot.

Teesdale volleyed home the third to put the Magpies ahead and the fourth goal arrived soon after when the influential Dean Parratt delivered again and prolific marksman Howard rose highest to net with a header.
