JONATHAN Hunt struck the only goal from the penalty spot as St Albans City made it four straight wins in the Blue Square South on Tuesday at Welling United.

Manager Steve Castle restored Lee Clarke to his starting XI at the expense of striker Paul Hakim with Gary Cohen switching from midfield to attack.

City were going in search of their third away win on the bounce after victories at Newport County and Basingstoke Town.

The Saints were also looking for a third clean sheet in four games which they achieved and Castle's men have now conceded just one goal in those four matches as they look to make an impression in the top half of the league.

The return of powerhouse defender Ryan Frater alongside Ben Martin to reunite their impressive partnership at centre back has given City the platform to look to continue their strong run of form.

Saints host Bath City at Clarence Park on Saturday as they look to make it 12 points from 12 in October before facing the trip to Bromley to kick off November. Saints then have home clashes with Fisher Athletic and Hayes & Yeading United.
