First win for St Albans Primary School A team

St Albans Primary Schools A team were in action at home at Colney Heath FC against Swindon in the Berks League on Saturday.

The young Saints were somehow behind 1-0 at half-time as Swindon took the lead against the run of play.

The second half was the same - dominance by the Saints - and this time, the chances were taken as Hamish Michie equalised and then Jack McShane struck the winner. This was the first win of the season and well deserved as they dominated against a side that had previously beaten them 3-0.

The B team were also in action in the Herts seven-a-side tournament at Westbrook Hay in Hemel Hempstead. The Saints drew 1-1 with Harpenden, Stevenage and Potters Bar - Teddy Ruddick, Tom Mileham and Corey Rodriguez the scorers - then 0-0 with Hitchin and lost 1-0 to North Herts and 2-0 to eventual winners Dacorum.
