St Albans City are through to the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy after beating Billericay on penalties.
The teams set up a replay after a 2-2 draw at Clarence Park on Saturday and there was nothing to separate the teams after 90 minutes.
Goals from James Comley and Elliot Bailey, who started in place of the suspended John Frendo, twice cancelled out Billericay’s lead to set the game into extra-time where neither team could find a goal.
On to penalties and it was City who held their nerves to progress, winning 4-2. Comley, Lee Chappell, David Keenleyside and Harrison Georgiou were perfect from 12 yards while Billericay missed out and Paul Bastock saved another.
City’s win not only keeps their perfect cup record intact but sets up a third qualifying round tie at Chelmsford City on November 16.
