Midfielder Nick Elliot became Harpenden Town’s first player of the month for August in a new incentive for the squad launched this season.
Elliot, a 23-year-old medical sales rep from London Colney, won the award in part for two blistering 30-yard goals in early season games.
Town’s vice-chairman Roman Motyczak said: “Nick fully deserved his prize of a case of beer with some terrific attacking midfield play making a big contribution to our unbeaten record.”
Elliot, who joined Harpenden Town in January, added: “The team have had a brilliant start to the season with five wins and two draws.
“It is nice to win but nicer that the team are playing some good football.”
