Archant

Eight young athletes from St Albans AC ran for Hertfordshire at the Inter County Cross Country Championships in Oxfordshire.

Heavy rain made the tough course even more daunting but, in the U13 race, Keira Stern and Scott Brice finished high up in the Herts team. At U15, Jess Laitner ran well.

The U17 men’s team ran over 6km, which included a gruelling hill, and Ben Clarke finished in 31st place and fourth in team Herts.

Tabitha Weddell and Rachel Parlour ran in the U17 women’s race and Megan Steer finished the U20 event in an impressive ninth place with team-mate of the last 10 years Hannah Hull coming in second for team Herts.
