TWO members of the Verulam Swimming Club represented Team GB in the final of the World Biathle Series in South Africa.
James Devine (15) from Radlett, along with Georgina Thornton (16) from Watford competed against athletes from Japan, France, Germany, Korea and South Africa in the event which sees athletes run 1km and swim 200m before finishing with another 1km run. James came eighth while Georgina finished twelfth overall.
Chairman and athletics coach Sue Smith said: "Both Georgina and James have been very focused and dedicated to their training programmes over the past few months. I personally worked very closely with James on his running and transition and saw his fitness and determination grow every day. We are very proud of them both.
