Batchwood Bowls Club ladies lost to Kings Langley in the District League.

Batchwood came away with 20 points to Langley’s 60 despite winning the shot battle, by 62-54. The top rink was Janet McGregor Pam Ward, Nora Endericks and skip Pat Savage, who won 38-8.

St Albans ladies beat Batchwood 56-49 in a three-rink match. Batchwood’s top rink was Molly Grindley, Margaret Pitchley, Teresa Wood and skip Liz Schlatter (22-20)

The men lost to Hatfield in a four-rink friendly. Each team won two rinks but Hatfield won by 72 shots to 62. Batchwood’s top rink was Terry Chandler, Chris Whiting, Harry Pitchley and John Harvey (23-8).
