Wheathampstead post the points despite missing seven players
West Herts League
Bovingdon 0 Wheathampstead Wanderers 2
Wheathampstead were missing seven of their first choice players when they visited Bovingdon on Saturday but managed to grind out a 2-0 win on a poor and undersized pitch.
Liam Heffer scored his seventh goal of the campaign and Neil Given broke his duck for the second. This week coach Jason Pawlaczek will look forward to welcoming back several of his missing squad members as competition for places hots up. Wanderers are now top of the First Division and will hope to consolidate that position when they entertain Aldenham at Marford this weekend.
