HARPENDEN Arrow’s Georgia Dench scooped first place in the Senior Women 35 at the Herts Cross Country Veterans Championships.
Held at Willian, near Letchworth, the rain made it heavy going for all the competitors. But the weather and a longer course than expected did not deter Dench, pictured right, as she stormed to victory.
The Arrows Men’s’ team missed out on retaining the MV40 trophy to a strong St Albans Striders team.
