MATT Day returned to the first team fold for Park Street on Saturday and turned in what manager Ryan Thompson described as "his best game in a Park Street shirt".
The striker scored PSV's second goal in between a brace from John Winyard and manager Thompson was full of praise for his returning striker.
"We played three up top with Matty Newman, Matt Day and John Winyard," Thompson told the Herts Advertiser. "Matt Day was the pick for us it was his best game in a Park Street shirt. He's been in the reserves recently and he really wanted to impress."
"We've lost a few players with injury and illness so we went back to way we played last year. Ricky Tahon and Ant Burns dominated the midfield, they were absolutely superb," continued the PSV boss.

"It was such a good performance after two bad ones - they didn't spoil my weekend!"
Despite being third in the league table and only six points off the top Thompson has warned that his side have to be patient this season.
"We've got a lot of young lads in the team and we've got to be patient. On their day they are brilliant, when they aren't they're not so good."
Park Street are without a game this weekend due the league's representative team being in action, with Newman representing the club in that fixture.
