James Comley has agreed to a new one-year contract with St Albans City.

Last season’s captain was one of three players to agree to terms last week, with Steve Wales and Michael Malcolm also signing.

“St Albans has a huge place in my heart and everyone at the club made it clear they wanted me to stay,” said Comley, who represented both England C and the Montserrat senior national team last season.

Comley made 38 starts in the 2014/15 season and scored three goals.

Joint manager James Gray recently stated that Comley could be deployed as a centre-back next season after impressing alongside Darren Locke at the tail-end of the campaign.
