A cricket club has been crowned champions after losing just once all campaign.

Shenley Colts LC Under 15s won the Choice Cricket Centre Indoor League after they lost just one game during the ten team six-a-side competition that also included local sides Radlett, Redbourn and Harpenden.

Herts Under 15s wicket keeper Matthew Evans led the team that includes Nick Hurst and George Stear, who both live in St Albans and play County cricket for Middlesex CCC Under 15s and the Barmy Army Colts.

The most consistent player in the side was William Northage who has played for Shenley Colts since he was nine, with Louis Perry bowling his off spinners accurately to take several important wickets.

Connor Emerton, who also plays for Herts Under 15s, opened the batting and his younger brother Shay played regularly when any player was not available.

The Colts have trained hard throughout the season, under the watchful eye of manager Mark Stear, and their success is just reward for a whole team effort.
