Former WBO middleweight and super-middleweight world champion and St Albans resident Steve Collins is to train Frank Buglioni after his split with Mark Tibbs.
Collins, known as the Celtic Warrior, famously beat Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn during his 39-fight career.
Buglioni, who is promoted by Frank Warren, relinquished his WBO European super-middleweight belt in April after he suffered a shock sixth-round knockout loss to Sergey Khomitsk.
He bounced back with a fourth-round stoppage of Sam Couzens at York Hall in July to win the vacant BBBofC Southern Area title. And now is his hoping, under Collins’ tutelage, that he can contend for a world title.
