Steve Collins Jr’s will face Mareks Kovalevskis on Saturday at the ExCeL Arena as part of the undercard to the much anticipated contest between Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr.
Collins was originally scheduled to fight Lee Kellet in a four-round contest but the Cumbria native pulled out due to injury. He will instead face the 30 year old Latvian at the Frank Warren-promoted event entitled Bad Blood.
Collins, 24, the son of former world champion Steve, a St Albans resident, has three wins a draw to his name in four bouts.
The highlight of the evening will be the title fight between Saunders and Eubank Jr. Unbeaten Saunders, from Hatfield, has put his British, Commonwealth and European belts on the line against his unproven opponent who has yet to lose in 18 fights.
Derek Chisora faces Tyson Fury at the top of the bill in an exciting night of domestic boxing.
