College athletes from Oaklands, Herts Regional, West Herts and North Herts came together last week to compete across nine different sports at the Herts FE Games.

North Herts was victorious overall at the event held at Wodson Park Leisure Centre in Ware but Oaklands managed to get a number individuals and teams wins, including the men’s basketball.

The success of the Games is due to strong partnerships with the four colleges, the National Governing Bodies of Sport for all the sports involved and the massive team of Hertfordshire volunteers from across the county. Herts Sports Partnership (HSP) funds and organises the Games and express their thanks to all those involved in making the day such a success. HSP project Officer was delighted with the whole day and as it ended said, “What a fantastic day! I couldn’t have expected it to go any better. Everyone involved has been amazing and that includes all the volunteers and participants. The atmosphere has been brilliant and the level of competition extremely high. Well done to everyone”
