RUGBY UNION: A COLLEGE rugby team is gearing up for its big day with a place at Twickenham at stake.
St Columba's College U15s rugby team are in the semi-finals of the Daily Mail Vase after a 22-10 win over King's College, Taunton.
Despite falling behind 10-0 a try from William Down on the stroke of half-time got the Columba's boys back in contention, with Richard Goddard's conversion from a tight angle further reducing the deficit.
Columba's upped the ante after the break and tries from Josh Pieterse and another from Down confirmed the win.
Coaches Ben Alway and Steve Robins were delighted with their side's progress and must now get the boys fired up for their semi-final with Brighton College this Sunday.
The game will take place on semi-finals day at Broadstreet RFC with the reward for the victors a trip to Rugby HQ.
