Langleybury won by 92 runs

Defending 209, Langleybury made the breakthrough, getting Adam Temple out with the score on 37, before spectacular middle-order collapse.

It was left to Duncan Ferguson (18) and Daniel Williams (17) to restore some pride and they moved the score to 99 before both fell in quick succession the impressive Alex Gunning.

It was a disappointing result for Sandridge, who went into the looking to pick up their third win in four games, especially since the bowling attack did well to restrict Langleybury to an obtainable score.

Williams opened the bowling and gave up a miserly 18 from his seven others. Backed up by Ferguson (13-0), Williams and the bowling attack kept the scoring rate under three an over. The wickets didn’t come though, and Langleybury’s opener carried his bat for 80 as the innings closed on 209-4.

Having posted more runs than the target three times this season - albeit when batting first - Sandridge started confidently, but a middle order collapse stopped them in their tracks.
