ATHLETES from around the district will be cheered on by former Olympic hurdler Colin Jackson on Saturday as the Herts Youth Games get underway.
The Games take place at the Hertfordshire Sports Village on the University of Hertfordshire's de Havilland campus and are supported by the Herts Sports Partnership.
Former 110m hurdles World Record Holder, Jackson, will join the event on Saturday while Olympic silver medallist Dr Alison Mowbray, of the Great Britain rowing team attends on Sunday.
