WINGER Gary Cohen was handed a full City debut on Bank Holiday Monday with Hassan Sulaiman not yet ready to return.

City manager Steve Castle hailed the signing of Cohen after the Chelmsford game on Saturday but the attacker has had a long spell out of football and clearly needs time to get acclimatised to the pace of the Blue Square South. Castle said: "Gary Cohen will make Hassan Sulaiman look slow and that I guarantee. He is the quickest thing I have seen playing football. He has been out of football for a couple of years but he wants to come back into it. We will see what impact he can have. He is not particularly a striker as such. He can play anywhere and everywhere."

City are hopeful winger Sulaiman will recover from a hamstring strain to face Eastleigh on Saturday and that could ease the pressure on Cohen while he builds up his sharpness. Assistant boss Edwards believes the creative Sulaiman is a vital player for the club. He said: "Hopefully we will have Hassan Sulaiman back. He makes a big difference. Gary Cohen hasn't played football in a while. It will take him sometime and it was a tough game for him to come into at Maidenhead but we had very little option. Circumstances dictated that a bit.
