VERULAM Under 13s took third place in a close finish in Round Two of the Peanuts League Gala on Saturday night.
The top three swimming clubs were separated by just 10 points. Charlotte Fillmore achieved four personal bests and Seam Baccas swam an amazing butterfly race. Josh Davies proved to be just as fast in the freestyle as breaststroke, Carys Roberts and Louis Heath both swam some fast legs in the relay contributing to an excellent evening and Jack Fitzgerald-Smith was very brave to swim while injured.
James Thornton achieved three personal bests and was an outstanding team member who set a good example to others. Verulam won the exciting squadron race to end the gala on a high.
