City of St Albans Swimming Club (CoStA) have finished as runners-up in the Herts Major League Division One.

The A team finished second in the third and final round of the league season, meaning they finished second overall, missing out on the top spot to Hatfield.

And the club’s B team did themselves proud too, squeezing into fourth place by just half a point, giving them an overall position of 11th.

CoStA head coach Mike Cole said: “Well done to all the swimmers who competed. They all put in a sterling team effort and we saw some fantastic swimming throughout the three rounds.

“Our sights are now set on the East Region championships later this month.”

The Herts Major League encourages friendly team competition between neighbouring clubs in Hertfordshire, with around 28 teams from across the county swimming in three divisions.
