St Albans City joint gaffer James Gray is cutting an assured presence despite reports suggesting the club’s owners are threatening to walk out on the club.
Club owners Lawrence Levy and John McGowan have invested £450,000 into the Saints since taking over in 2011 and are threatening to leave City if they don’t receive the council’s support in their bid to build a new stadium.
Gray however exudes a positive outlook on the situation and dismissed suggestions the side have had a budget cut.
“We have worked within these parameters for the whole season, there is no budget cut at all,” said Gray.
“I look at this situation as a positive as it might help us to move to a new ground and I think that is what the club probably needs and that will benefit us all.”
