Sunday was a fun day for Brookmans Park in the Herts Advertiser Sunday League.
With the first team not in action, focus fell on the Reserves and the A team – and both delivered, winning their first league games of the season.
The Reserves had raced into a 2-0 lead at half-time in their Division Two match with Facelad thanks to Joe Cullum and a Michael Bennett penalty.
But despite being reduced to 10 men, Facelad fought back to level with Jerry Clynes and Laurence Wilson on target.
But Park were always the better side and further goals from Henry Chapman and Chris Stephens saw them to a 4-2 success.
And the A team followed suit in Division Four with a superb 6-1 defeat of Royston Rangers Reserves.
Dan Hart scored two and there was one each for Dom Woolard, Adam Sanders, Darren Chillingworth and Danny Clifton.

St Albans Warriors won their third in a row, defeating Blackboy 3-1 with two goals from Liam Daley and one from Kieran Thorne.
A good team performance by Harpenden Colts OB against stubborn opposition in Hatfield Seniors brought a 4-0 win. Man of the match Ender Tahsin opened the scoring with additional goals from Edi Bokciu and Darren Smith (two).
Wrestlers seemed to be in cruise control with a 3-0 half-time lead against Dagmar 1984 thanks to Dan Hedges’ brace and Robert Taylor’s single.
But Dagmar made them sweat with two goals and a host of other chances before the Wrestlers grabbed a 3-2 win.
Matt Stanley was Wrestlers’ stand-out player.
Back in Division Two, St Albans Irish recorded an excellent 5-0 victory against Pinewood with goals from James Manfre, Jordan Manfre, Ashley Defries, Lewis Cocomazzi and Daniel James.
In Division Three
Wheathampstead ‘89s Lee Bennett scored another five goals, taking his tally to 20 this year, in a 6-2 win against New Greens. Ryan Clark netted their other goal.
Glenn Johnson and Luke Fountain scored as Royston Rangers picked up their third League victory with 2-1 win over TNF for whom Edward Gray replied.
Two goals from Marshalswick Rovers’ star man Michael Bleach earned his side a 2-2 draw against Athletico Quat.
Blacksmiths progressed to the next round of the Herts Intermediate Cup with a 4-1 win against Bradmore Rovers. Goals came from Aidan Golds (two), Jamie Sharp and Rhys Jacob.
Colney Heath Sunday had to rely on fine goalkeeping by Steve Cunningham, before winning a penalty shoot-out against Cheshunt Town.
Blackberry Jack recorded their biggest score of the season when defeating Compasses 7-0 in the Challenge Cup. Naseem Shahbab Ali scored two and Matthew Parkins, Antony Burns, Michael Wright, Frank Jowle and Adrian Arrighi got the others.
It took a Connor Hutchinson effort for Skew Bridge Reserves to settle the game in extra-time after neither they nor Phoenix could find the back of the net in normal time.
