FA CUP and Champions League finalists Chelsea, the Championship’s Watford and League 1’s Stevenage FC have all confirmed they will send sides to Clarence Park this summer for pre-season friendly matches.

A Chelsea XI will take on David Howell’s St Albans City on Saturday, August 4.

The Blues squad will be a developmental one featuring some of the Premier League giants’ most promising players, but could also include some with first-team experience.

Hertfordshire neighbours Watford are to face City on Wednesday, August 1, while Stevenage head to St Albans on Tuesday, July 17.

More friendly games are to organised as City prepare for the next Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division campaign.
